After breakfast your private guide and driver will meet you at the hotel lobby.
After introduction and a short briefing about the tour we depart from hotel at
09:30am and start our full day tour. Firstly we will visit
Damsa Dam which is the most important water supplier of the
region. It's surrounded by the gorgeus mountains of the region. Then we will
drive to the Cemil Village which is a old small village and settled by
Christians. We will have a walk through the village streets to see the Anatolian
village life and reach the church inside of the village. You will have chance to
see how the life goes on here. Then we will visit Cemil Church
and old caves here. Our next stop is Keslik Monastery which is
located close to Cemil Village and the second biggest monastery of the region.
The huge and spectatular monastery contains a chapel, refectories and some rock
cut houses which are linked with tunnels. Then we will have a special
Lunch in a local restaurant where we will have chance to taste some
local foods.
After lunch we will hike in one of the most gorgeus valleys of Cappadocia.
Soganli Valley also known as the ‘Valley
of Dolls’ is a deep valley just located in a silent village between the
volcanoes and green. It includes lots of churches with frescoes inside it. You
will enjoy the beauty of the valley while trekking. After a visit to the valley,
a nice cup of tea offered by locals meaning welcome, will make you happier. Our
next stop is Taskinpasa Village which is also known as Tamisus. We will see some
buildings influenced by Turkish architecture. The famous places to see here are
the mosques, medrese (theolojical school of Muslims) and tombs called as türbe
in Turkish. They all have the same name with the village. We end the day by
visiting Sobesos Ancient City which is newly discovered (01 May
2002) mosaic houses & Archaeological excavation site . We turn back to our hotel
at nearly 18:00pm.
